Total Transparency, Complete Disclosure and Reconnect the People!

For far too long, our City Council has wanted us to be seen but NOT heard - especially when they want to foist a duplicate TAX INCREASE upon the residents of the 2nd District! We will NOT be silent - I will fight for us all! I am running for City Council to build a better and stronger community, and to improve the quality of life for every resident. Many parts of our district continue to suffer from decay and neglect. Our most urgent needs are ignored while the codling of developers and other special interests are given priority by the incumbent. Let's work towards creating an effective strategic plan that addresses public safety, advanced Senior services, economic growth, the arts, jobs, parking issues, and pension reform. I will reach out to every neighborhood, and every resident, so that we can work together for our common good. As your City Council Representative I will bring fresh ideas, and a new optimism to the Second District. Together, we will create a business-friendly environment by streamlining the permitting process to attract and retain companies that will provide quality jobs for our residents. This will generate the necessary funding for community programs and public safety. I am committed to excellence, accountability, and an open, responsive, and transparent city government that reflects the values of our community. I will listen, and not be silent. I will take action to insure that you, my neighbor, have a voice and full representation. Together, we can bring positive change to the Second District. I respectfully ask for your vote on April 10th for Long Beach City Council.
