Culver City has three four-year City Council terms and one two-year term up for election. All seats are filled on an at-large basis, with the top three vote-getters receiving the four-year terms and the fourth-place vote-getter receiving the two-year term, which was made available by the December 2011 retirement of Councilmember D. Scott Malsin
