G. Michael Green

G. Michael Green is a judicial candidate for the Court of Common Pleas of Delaware County, Pennsylvania. Mike Green was raised in the Brookline section of Haverford Township. He is a graduate of Monsignor Bonner High School, Villanova University with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature Magna cum Laude, and the Villanova University School of Law. The respected attorney peer review rating service, Martindale-Hubbell, awarded G. Michael Green its most selective rating of AV Preeminent 5.0, for both his legal ability and professional integrity. On April 15, 2011, the Delaware County Bar Association issued its Judicial Selection Committee Report based upon a survey of the Bar Association membership. This Report states that, as a judicial candidate, Mr. Green received the highest " Well Qualified" membership support.

From 1980 to 2002, Mike Green served as a shareholder concentrating as a trial attorney in the law firm, Donohue, McKee, Mattson & Green, Ltd. During those years Mr. Green maintained a very active litigation law practice with cases involving family law, real estate, land use and zoning disputes, and in the areas of the law dealing with business entity, commercial and tax litigation.

In August of 2002, G. Michael Green became the District Attorney of Delaware County, Pennsylvania. He has served as District Attorney for nearly nine years. During this time Mr. Green has accomplished a series of significant legal initiatives. To protect children, Mike Green established the Pennsylvania Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force as a statewide integrated investigation and prosecution task force of over sixty member law enforcement agencies, including the Pennsylvania State Police. In 2005, Mr. Green led the establishment of The One Plan For School Safety in Delaware County. The One Plan is a comprehensive inter-governmental and private commercial strategy which serves as a model for other jurisdictions on the topic of school and public safety. To protect Delaware County seniors, Mike Green established the Senior Exploitation Unit in 2004. Beginning in January 2003 and continuing since, Mike Green expanded the Economic Crime Investigation Unit and provided forensic support to it through innovative partnerships with Villanova University, Widener University, Neumann University and Saint Joseph University. His goal is to fight the enormous threat to all residents posed by sophisticated economic criminal schemes.

G. Michael Green is a member of the Federal Bureau of Investigation Philadelphia Joint Terrorism Task Force Executive Board, a founding member of the fifteen person National Advisory Committee to the FBI National System of Regional Computer Forensic Laboratories, and a founding member of the Executive Board to the Philadelphia Regional Computer Forensic Laboratory. Since 2007, Mike Green has served as a member of the Executive Board to the Philadelphia-Camden High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Task Force.

Mr. Green has received numerous commendations, among them, the William G. Weidner Memorial Award from the Chiefs of Police of Delaware County, a Department of Homeland Security Certificate of Merit from the United States Coast Guard, and the John W. Gillis Leadership Award, presented by the National Organization of Parents of Murdered Children, Inc., its highest national law enforcement honor. At commencement on May 14, 2011, Neumann University conferred upon G. Michael Green the honorary degree of Doctor of Laws, Honoris Causa, recognizing his service to the people of Delaware County. Mike Green resides in Upper Darby Township with his wife Mary Beth. They have four children.
