Shall a 0.25 mills special tax be imposed by the City of Pittsburgh on all taxable real estate in the city of Pittsburgh effective January 1, 2012 and thereafter, the proceeds of which shall be allocated and used only for the maintenance and operation of the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh?

Summary:
If this question is approved by a majority of those voting, a separate tax of 0.25 mills, equivalent to Twenty Five Dollars ($25.00) on each One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000.00) of assessed value will be levied on all real estate in the City of Pittsburgh.

All money raised as a result of this tax can only be used to aid in the maintenance and operation of the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh and cannot be used for any other purpose. This tax would go into effect January 1, 2012.
