Questions & Answers

1. What are your qualifications for office?

I am a Certified Public Accountant in practice since 1994 with 20 years of accounting experience. My work has involved all aspects of accounting and taxation with clients ranging from corporations and trusts to partnerships, nonprofit organizations, and individuals. During my two decades in this field I have sought to give my clients the best, most current information and honest advice to guide their financial decisions and improve their business activity.

2. What services do you believe should be considered basic and essential for the City?

The City of Cheviot should offer the highest possible quality of life to its residents by providing basic and essential services such as police, fire, sanitation, and traffic/road maintenance. Utilities should be safe and well-managed. The overall appearance of Cheviot should be attractive and retail/family friendly. I live and work in Cheviot, I want Cheviot to work.

3. How would you balance the City Budget?

Balancing the budget is ultimately the responsibility of City Council but the Auditor plays an important role by accounting for the transactions within the budget and to ensure the expenditures do not exceed budgetary limits.

4. What actions will you take to support clean air?

While clean air is very important to me my work as Auditor of Cheviot is to support the financial viability of the City so city leaders can present or respond with the fiscal means to solve any future challenges.
