EDUCATION:

M.S., Civil and Environmental Engineering, University of Cincinnati B.S., Zoology, University of Florida

QUALIFICATIONS:

Over 20 years of participation in community non-profit organizations, community committees and volunteer activities, as well as 12 year s in elected office in Evendale, Ohio.

Founding partner of a successful environmental consulting firm that grew to $5 million in sales in five years. Head of operations and finance at that firm.

More than 20 years experience in successfully marketing environmental services to Fortune 500 companies. Experienced in direct mail marketing, sales presentations to corporate management, preparation of written marketing materials, and public relations.

Extensive experience in writing technical, educational and promotional materials. Have worked on numerous company brochures and qualifications packages. Have written hundreds of technical reports, and have published numerous technical papers.

Many years experience in solid and hazardous waste management, health and safety, training, and regulatory compliance. Developed and conducted training in many areas of EPA, DOT and OSHA regulations, including RCRA generator training, hazard communication, lockout/tagout, and many other topics.

Familiar with multi-media, including computers, audio-visual aids and creation of slides and overheads. Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet, data base, project management and presentation software.

Extensive experience in project management, including delivery of technical results, and meeting schedule and budget requirements.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:

I have many years of business and technical experience in the field of environmental consulting. I developed my career from a technical staff person to a group supervisor, manager and officer and business owner. I have been responsible for business development, sales and marketing at my own and other firms and have successfully marketed many Fortune 500 companies. I have supervised groups of people, including both technical and financial groups.

I have managed and conducted numerous projects involving development and implementation of programs and policies related to OSHA, RCRA and CERCLA/SARA. I have many years of permitting experience and have managed remedial investigations and feasibility studies, including selection of remedial technology and preparation of design specifications for the chosen technology. I have consulted with many types of manufacturing facilities in numerous business sectors. I developed training programs for health/safety and environmental compliance, addressing topics related to DOT, EPA and OSHA regulations.

I was a regional coordinator for the EPA's Technical Assistance Panels program for Region VII (Kansas City). As a coordinator, I managed 31 work assignments, many of them overlapping, involving tasks such as evaluation of resource recovery alternatives to landfilling, landfill selection or expansion, use of refuse-derived fuel in utility boilers, and recovery of metals from electric arc dust. I organized and conducted a technology transfer series on land disposal for EPA's Center for Environmental Research Information.

In the non-profit sector, I was founder and president of the Smart Growth Coalition for four years. I wrote and submitted proposals to the Greater Cincinnati Foundation and won two 6-figure grants for the new organization. With that grant money, I held a series of town meetings throughout the greater Cincinnati region to educate citizens about smart growth alternatives to urban sprawl.
