Questions & Answers

1. What services do you believe should be considered basic and essential for the township?

While often overlooked, community service is essential for the success and growth of Anderson Township. Not only does it allow the voice and desires of the population to be directly considered, it strengthens the bond between neighbors and friends. Government can provide only so much; it is the people of the township that make Anderson the place to live and prosper in.

2. How would you balance the Township Budget?

While the Fiscal Officer handles budgetary issues, the township Trustees approve spending measures. By using proper accounting processes and having accurate financial reports, Anderson Township's fiscal standing will be clear, allowing the Trustees to make better spending decisions and the citizens to have a stronger voice on township affairs. This will allow for prioritization, paving the way for proper cuts and appropriate spending that maximizes benefits at a minimal cost.

Proper spending and utilization of public money leads to increased public welfare, increased community cohesion and the electorate's properties being more valuable.

3. What actions will you take to support clean air?

Government mandates are expensive and often highly ineffective as there is conflict between jurisdictions and roles. The most effective way to support clean air is through direct education, taking pride in your township and having good values. The Forest Hills Local School District was awarded an "Excellent with Distinction" rating, educating each class of students with the exceptional standards that this township deserves. Through the development of each and every generation, conscientious decisions can be made on the personal and community level that supports clean air, among other healthy life decisions.
