Questions & Answers

1. What are your qualifications for office?

Two years as a Board Member for Finneytown. Blue Ribbon Finance Committee Member Personnel Committee Member Facilities Committee Member 10+ years as a Sales Manager and Manager responsible for evaluating the performance of individuals and organizations.

2. What would you do to advance the concept of "equity in education" in your district?

Continue supporting the efforts of the Superintendent and adminitstration in acquiring the best teachers. Focus on creative private funding opportunities to support needs of the district.

3. How would you use your students' state test results to improve education in your district?

The data collected should be used to evaluate performance of teachers and students to acknowledge the successes and identify the areas where additional training is needed.

4. What will you do to build consensus in the community in support of public schools?

First, support the philosophy of respect for: students,teachers, admisitrators, and business managers when interacting with the community and each other. I will attend forums, committee meetings, and answer questions honestly. I will be a steward of the assets of the community.

5. What are your budget priorities?

Finneytown had put some key maintenance issues on hold with the past consideration of state funding for new buildings. Now that those options are not realistic we need to address the facility needs of the district.
