? 1. What services do you believe should be considered basic and essential for the township?

Answer from Marijane E. Klug:

I believe that Safety Services which includes Police and Fire services are basic services for the Township, as well as Parks & Recreation, and Public Services (Streets & Roadways). The Township needs to provide a safe and secure environment to all of its citizens. There also needs to be places where citizens can relax and engage in recreation actvities, and last, the Township infrastructure needs to be clean, safe, and reliable for citizens to travel safely within the Township.

? 2. How would you balance the Township Budget?

Answer from Marijane E. Klug:

I am a very conservative Republican that will focus on the issues facing Delhi today and in the future. We will start with an enhanced focus on Township resources and evaluating all expenses. My number one priority will be to continue providing a structurally balanced budget for the Township while still delivering outstanding services to the citizens of Delhi. We need to function within the current resources and look at ways to reduce costs and streamline services.

? 3. What actions will you take to support clean air?

Answer from Marijane E. Klug:

In supporting clean air I would review the Townships carbon footprint. There are many ways to reduce the Townships carbon footprint. Educating the citizens of the Township on their individual carbon emissions such as the length of your daily shower, the addition of trees and bushes to yards, combining shopping trips, unplug it when not using it, turn down your heat by 1-2 degrees, encourage use of energy efficient light bulbs abd appliances, and insulate. Encourage alternative energy resources - solar panels, wind turbines, geothermal systems, alternative fuels, and general conservation. All of the above promote cleaner air.
