? 1. What are your qualifications for office?

Answer from Kerry D. Rabe:

As a twenty-four year resident of Sharonville and an eight-term member of Council, I know Sharonville and its people pretty well. I have a proven track record of getting the job done, even in a tough economy.

? 2. What services do you believe should be considered basic and essential for the City?

Answer from Kerry D. Rabe:

With a population of 14,000, expanding to 30,000 with our daytime work force,a strong well-run police and fire service is paramount. Futher, our residents have come to expect streets, curbs and sidewalks in good repair, as well as timely snow removal.

? 3. How would you balance the City Budget?

Answer from Kerry D. Rabe:

By law,our budget has to be balanced. We cannot run a deficit. The past two or three years have definitely been a challenge, but through strict budget controls we have and will continue to succeed. Despite a difficult environment, we have been able to balance the budget without layoffs or furloughs, keeping good city services without hugh increases in fees.

? 4. What actions will you take to support clean air?

Answer from Kerry D. Rabe:

The city of Sharonville follows state and federal laws regarding strict compliance when it comes to air standards. With new construction, particularly that owned by the city, I have a strong interest making buildings as green and eco friendly as possible, within a reasonable budget.
