I believe decision makers should reflect the make up of our community and that is why I am running for Ventura City Council.
I love Ventura. I was raised and educated in Ventura. As a single parent, I have also raised and educated my children here. I have been active in Big Brothers/Big Sisters, and also coached and umpired youth sports. I know the importance of family values.

It is critical that voters elect a person who will fight for the "shrinking middle class." For the past 20 years I have had the honor of advocating for working families, as a Union Steward in the grocery business and currently as an SEIU member representative.

I believe decision makers should reflect the make up of our community and that is why I am running for Ventura City Council.

After graduating from Buena High School, I attended Ventura College and graduated from Cal State Northridge with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration. I served in the United States Marine Corps attaining the rank of Sergeant. Recently, Assemblymember Das Williams recognized me as the 2011 Veteran of the Year for the 35th Assembly District.

As your voice at City Hall, I fully commit to:

  • Safe neighborhoods
  • Quality libraries
  • Preserving our precious hillsides
  • Proper street maintenance
  • Green Jobs
  • Putting our economy back on track
  • Good recreational and educational activities for our young people and seniors
  • Public involvement in the budget process
