Hugo Molina is originally from Guatemala City, Guatemala. Born on August 30, 1978

Hugo was raised in a humble but loving family in which his values and ethics were born. After completing his grade school and attending Jr. High in Guatemala, Hugo moved to the United States to be with his family at age of 16. Upon arriving to the United States, Hugo did not know how to read, write or speak the English language which became a challenge but not an impossible for him.

An interesting story that will highlight Hugo's passion and commitment is that; Due to the financial hardships that his family was enduring in Guatemala, both his parents migrated to the United States, leaving Hugo and his older siblings behind. One of Hugo's dreams every time his mother traveled to Guatemala to go visit them was to be able to cross the security check point at the gate when he would dismiss his mother at the airport every time she left him to come back to the U.S to work to continue to support the family. Hugo determined in his heart that he would someday work at the airport with the hopes to be able to cross that line and be with his mother until the last minute of her time with him in his home country. The day came in which Hugo was able to travel by airplane with his mother during his travel to what would be his new home in California. Hugo's dream did not end there, he pursued his dream by obtaining a job at North West Airlines in San Jose CA cleaning airplanes and eventually moving up to Customer Service Supervisor in San Francisco, CA. Even though he was already living with his mother here in the U.S, his dream and passion never ended and he succeeded at obtaining that dream.

Now at the age of 33, it is with that same determination that Hugo will serve the Citizens of the City of Ceres. In his questioner sent by the Modesto Bee, Hugo states " I believe the citizens of Ceres deserve a strong and united council, someone who is up to date with current events, someone with common sense who is willing to put aside any special interest and do what's best and what's right for the community; I am that person"(Molina, modestobee.com, 2011). When elected to City Council, Hugo will definitely put forth the concerns of residents of Ceres as his own.

Hugo is now married to Gabriela Molina and has two small children, Victoria & Ethan Molina

For the past two and a half years, Hugo has been actively involved in organizations such as El Concilio from Modesto and the Ceres Partnership for healthy children. Both organizations are dedicated to providing the community with all kinds of resources such as; Health fairs, Home Rescue workshops, Citizenship & Immigration workshops and many other resources that help the entire community from Stanislaus County and neighborhood areas.
