Candidate for
Council Member; City of Burlingame

Ricardo has been a Bay Area resident for thirty years and for the past 17 he has made Burlingame his home. Ricardo married his college sweetheart, Lauren Barranti and they now have three children: Andres (18), Veronica (15) and Agustin (11). Two attend Burlingame High School and one is at Burlingame Intermediate.

Ricardo began his college education at College of San Mateo where he met Lauren. He then transferred to the University of California, San Diego where he obtained a major in Economics with a minor in History.

During his years at CSM, Ricardo was very active as a volunteer with Peninsula Civic Light Opera (now Broadway by the Bay.) He demonstrated leadership skills by managing groups of volunteers in the technical aspect of live theater. After college, he worked for various financial institutions focusing primarily on small businesses. For the last five years, Ricardo has managed an office for City National Bank in downtown Burlingame.

Ricardo has been very active in many community organizations including:

2. Burlingame AYSO, Past Treasurer and youth coach
3. Burlingame Community for Education Foundation, Executive Treasurer
4. Our Lady of Angels Parish, Men's Club President
5. Community Legal Services, Co-Chair
