AMISTAD, FEL ANTHONY visit http://www.electprofessoramistad.com for additional information. THANK YOU FOR VISITING! ===========================================================

I appreciate your interest and your vote. Please share my information. Many thanks!

I have lived in the area for 3 decades. I am currently a university educator and adjunct faculty in the South Bay. At Stanford University, I completed a BA in Human Biology and was a co-terminal Masters Degree candidate in Biological Scienes (MS). I carreid out cardiovascular research at the Stanford Medical Center and clinical investigation at local hospitals. However, my passion for education focused on the methodology of "reaching out to our youth, our future engineers, doctors, and Steve Jobs of the world."

It does take a commitment on the part of educators to inculcate in the minds of fresh learners to engage in education. With the distraction of the internet, TV, and sports, many students may remain indifferent or poorly connected to education at the k-8 level.

I want to see a stronger engagement by our students. I want to see digital technology in every classroom. I want to see our teachers more engaged and our parents more involved in their children's education.

That is why I am asking for your help. I wish to engage our neighborhoods so that our children will understand the value of education today and tomorrow. The Bay Area is home to great companies like Google, Apple, and Genentech, Inc, among others. It is about time we see more of the next generation trained and educated in the new technologies of the future.

It will start at the elementary years, the formative years of our children's learning curve. As your trustee, I will engage our educational community in ensuring that our children will indeed be prepared for the next Apple Computer or the next Google. That passion is why I am running for the School Board. I want to earn that and thank you in advance for your support.

Biography
---------- Education: I completed advanced MBA and law degrees in the 1990s and early 2002. Currently as an Executive MBA adjunct professor, I specialize in finance and human resource management training. I have experience as a former CEO of a financial company and as a real estate professional, with over two dozen years of private industry experience.

I also hold both the California Department of Real Estate licensure (since 1986) and the NMLS licensure, or the national registry for professional mortgage finance professionals. I understand finances and underwriting. I also understand the hardships and problems of today's families. I helped many people purchase their first homes. I also helped families get through tough times and help finance their children's college education. This experience is what I bring to our School Board. I will ensure that I keep an open mind about education and the future of our children. The cost of college is astronomically high. We must prepare our children to confront the costs and commitment to earn a degree in advance. Our future depends on preparation. It begins in the formative years.

I raised my family here and worked as a Fortune 500 bank officer, community volunteer, and small business owner in the area. Currently, I serve in many non-profit arenas. I am a San Mateo County Commissioner since 2007 (San Mateo County Commission on Disabilites. I serve on the ADA Compliance, Special Events, and Legislative Advocacy Committees of the Commission).

I am excited to serve our diverse communities. I will bring my passion for education to the SMFCSD and ensure the success of the future of our nation: our children.

At Hillsdale High School, I was PTSO first Vice President 2010-11 and currently volunteer in the PTSO Program Committee. I also serve in the WASC Accreditation Committee working with staff and teachers to ensure Hillsdale High School's re-accreditation.

ISSUES THAT MATTER
------------------- Raising the bar for educational excellence. Retaining great teachers who are experienced and well trained. Challenging the status quo, ensuring that the right blend of school activities and education are combined to provide students a well rounded k-8 education experience.

With my business and finance background, I am committed to ensure that the SMFCSD can meet its obligations and duties to our taxpayers, diverse communities, and education administrators.
