Born Seattle Washington, attended 12 different schools and lived in 9 different states prior to age 14. Work experience prior to educator role includes tax preparer, airline stewardess, waitress and short order cook,census taker, police desk sergeant, gardener, librarian and book sales, teaching assistant for college courses in Art History, Intro to Science and Art; and the Creative Process.

Have traveled 3 times to Europe, living in and visiting Russia, England, France, Italy, Spain and Greece, with short passages to Austria, Germany, Switzerland and Morroco; plus long visits to Canada and Mexico.

Obtained BA from U of Washington, Seattle, in Creative writing and Philosophy; studio art studies for M.A. completed at U.C. Berkeley; 2ndary teaching credential, U.C. Berkeley; Assoc. degree in Early Child, Solano Community College, and M.A. in early Child Education, Sonoma State College.

For 30 years, as Benicia resident, have worked closely with arts, historical museum, public library, to involve public in the creative process through coordinated events, exhibits and classes.

Mixed media artist, writer of poetry and lecturer on arts education and cognitive development. Two sons.
