Candidate for
Solano Irrigation District; Division 3

This information is provided by the candidate

I have 38 years of experience as a registered civil engineer specializing in water and wastewater facilities. I received a masters degree in sanitary engineering from Oregon State University in 1973 and a bachelors degree in physics from Washington State University in 1971. I work in the Sacramento office of MWH, a consulting engineering firm. I have lived in the Tolenas area of Solano County since 1987.

I have managed numerous water and wastewater projects in Northern California. They include projects at the City of Fairfield's two water treatment plants, the City of Vacaville's wastewater treatment plant, and the City of Vallejo's water treatment plant.

My work has given me experience with project management, budgeting, cost control, water system planning and design, rate studies, and financial planning -- all of which are important for Solano Irrigation District.

I have been on the Board of Solano Irrigation District since 2004. I serve on the Board, not to promote any cause, but as a public service. I feel I have experience and training that can be useful for Solano Irrigation District (SID) and that I can serve my community by serving SID.

If you, the voters, choose to re-elect me, I promise to do everything in my power to protect our water supply -- to maintain its availability, affordability, and quality.
