Retail: I want to promote more retail in Cupertino and work with our Economic Development Manager to come up with a very innovative and aggressive plan to actually go out and attract retail stores into Cupertino. We need a strong retail base in so that our citizens are able to purchase everything they need right here where we live and bring in the much needed tax dollars to our city.

Preserve our History: I want to preserve the Stocklmeir orchard and home and promote the legacy farm while working with the high schools and citizens and the city to achieve this goal. I want to create a new master plan for McClellan Ranch, Blackberry Farm and the Stevens Creek Trail. There is a rich history along the creek and trail that can be preserved. I want to find a good home for the Glendenning Barn that is now on the HP Property soon to belong to Apple. It must be moved to make way for the new Apple complex.

Keep Our neighborhoods safe: I want to encourage neighborhoods to work together with our city's neighborhood watch program, Emergency preparedness and city alert system and work with our Fire and sheriff's departments to promote safety in our neighborhoods.

Protect our Hillsides: I served on the planning commission for 8 years and helped develop the hillside policy to control the design of housing to minimize visual impact and to ensure that the utilization of land for residential uses is balanced with the need to conserve our natural resources.

Strong Fiscal policy: Maintain a proper balance of expenditures with available monies for the fiscal year. Maintain a healthy balance and investigate new ideas to generate revenue, streamline operations and control costs.

Library: The Cupertino Library gives all citizens a place to learn, and a place to look for self improvement. It is a "clean well lighted place" where children, teens and adults can seek information or read for pleasure. There is technology and business resources. The library is 54,000 square feet and features a spectacular, 16 ft. long marine aquarium. Over 3 million items were circulated last year in our library. I want to support our library which is one of our most precious resources in Cupertino.
