Improve equality of benefits and payThe current economic climate and reduced public funding requires government entities to do more with less. This can be best illustrated by the sacrifices made by teachers and classified employees alike in their acceptance of furloughs and other concessions. Management personnel of the district were also required to take the same furlough days. However, some management positions have had their reductions negated by increases in benefits and other perks. Should someone with a 6 figure income be given additional benefits while we reduce the pay of the rank and file employees? I will work towards equality and fairness for all employees and sound financial decisions to stop the waste of taxpayer funds. |
