Candidacy for Board of Trustees of Santa Rita Union School District

I am committed to working hard and serving my community. I bring relevant skills, knowledge, hard work, a fresh start and a critical eye to the review and implementation of policies that support our charge, especially in the areas of fiscal accountability, health, safety, social policy, and quality services.

As a Santa Rita District parent, previous district employee, and community member, I believe that our most important task is to provide a nurturing, safe environment in which our children can thrive, achieve high academic goals, and grow into caring, competent adults. We can do this, even in tough times, with thoughtful planning; careful, consistent oversight; and most importantly, the remarkable commitment of everyone in the Santa Rita community to support our schools.

I am a graduate of a local high school, Heald School of Business graduate, married and mother of three children attending a school in the district. With ten years of experience working for the Santa Rita District's Personnel Department, my continued work in education as Classified Personnel Director of Santa Cruz City Schools, and as a parent, I believe I bring a diverse perspective to this district.
