Smart Voter Political Philosophy for Jill McGrady

Candidate for
Governing Board Member; Antelope Valley Joint Union High School District

This information is provided by the candidate

Quality Schools Attract Quality Jobs: Improving the quality of our high schools will help the Antelope Valley to attract the new businesses and jobs our citizens need. Employers want to locate in communities with good schools.

As your School Board Trustee, I will use my two decades of teaching experience to strengthen academic excellence in our classrooms and protect schools from harmful budget cuts. My "A+" educational priorities include:

ACCOUNTABILITY--Ensure our tax dollars are spent in the classroom, not on bureaucracy! Support strict financial oversight to manage school district spending.

ACADEMICS--Promote high standards of educational achievement for students and teachers. Expand college preparatory courses and student job training opportunities.

ACCESSIBILITY-- Listen closely to parent and taxpayer concerns. Promote civility at School Board meetings.

I am an independent fiscally responsible leader who will stand up to special interests and do what is best for our students and our schools. I would be honored to represent you.
