As a member of our community, I've FOUGHT hard to ensure that our children receive a quality education; FOUGHT for special services for our children and EXPOSED the fiscal mismanagement of the district's tax dollars. As a Board member at CSU Dominguez Hills, I was instrumental in securing $1.2 million in funding for a new child development center, $34 million in funding for a new Student Union and $39.2 million for a new campus library. Now, I want to CONTINUE THE FIGHT as a Member of the Compton School Board.

I will:

- Promote programs that instill PATHWAYS TO HIGHER EDUCATION

- Fund youth arts and after school programs

- RENOVATE OUR SCHOOLS

- INCREASE FUNDING for improved in classroom technology

- Increase Special Education services

- ENSURE ADEQUATE STAFFING at our schools

My Experience:

- Union Rep., American Federation of Teachers

- Executive Director, Hub City Arts Collective

- Sr. Field Rep., CA State Legislature

- Union Rep., SEIU-United Health Care Workers-West

- Vice President of Operations, CSU Dominguez Hills

- Director of Student Services, CSU Dominguez Hills
