Smart Voter Political Philosophy for Doris M. Blum

Candidate for
Governing Board Member; Glendora Unified School District

This information is provided by the candidate

Three Priority Issues

1. Strategic Allocation of resources to maximize student success with a focus on teaching and learning. California has just adopted the Common Core Standards and all districts will need to concentrate on ways of implementing them with scarce resources.

2. Provide classrooms with state of the art technology needed to teach 21st century skills. Having the financial resources to keep up with this growing need is, and will continue to be a challenge.

3. Continue oversight of ever shrinking revenues to guarantee students the best possible education and taxpayers a fiscally sound budget.
