I'm a small business owner and employer based right here in El Dorado Hills with a degree in business administration. When my wife and I move up to El Dorado Hills from Sacramento County 15 years ago it was one of the best decisions we ever made. Great schools, great neighbors (our kids, teenagers now, were so lucky to grow up here with a safe and fun suburban life a lot like what I got to enjoy back in the `60's) and a great community and a beautiful environment.

We love it here. What we didn't know about were the EID bills. They were a shock even 15 years ago.

Under this Board EID rates, spending and debt have shot through the roof.

Here we are close to the source: the American River, the Sierras and yet we pay more for our water and sewer than seemingly everyone else in the state! Talk to your friends and family in Sacramento, the Bay Area, down in Southern California and compare what they pay for water and sewer, versus what we pay.

Something is just not right.

The more I looked into the EID Board the more astounded I became. And sadly, the current board has done most of the damage that all of us have to pay for.

Seriously, this Board has done a ton of spending, and we get stuck with the bill with ever higher rates and taxes (yes, in addition to paying our high EID bills, some of our taxes also go to EID! + talk about double dipping).

There's an old movie where one of the characters sticks his head out the window and yells, "I'm mad as (heck) and I'm not going to take it anymore." Well, that's how I feel and that is why I am running for the EID Board Director position.
