Smart Voter Political Philosophy for James "Jim" Santi

Candidate for
Commissioner; Township of Upper Gwynedd; Republican Party

This information is provided by the candidate

The position of Township Commissioner is not a Political position. I view it as a Public Servant position. We are elected to "serve" the community as their representitive and do so as best we can, within the guidelines and laws that apply to a First Class Twp and the position. Our most important duty is to provide an environment that insures our residents have a good and safe quality of life. We want to provide them with the services that guarantee Police protection, open space with a good Park & Recreation programs, and low tax rates. The Township has just concluded a 19 year, road improvement project valued at about $22 million. This has cost the Twp residents about $1.2 million. This was accomplished by leveraging a Township business, the County and PennDot. I have served this community for 30 years and have seen it grow into a community I can be proud of. Most resinedts, if not all would agree. I would like to continue serving the community and the residents.
