Director; Abington School District; Democratic, Republican Party

My husband and I have lived in Abington for the past 28 years. Our two children attended the Abington School District from kindergarten through twelfth grade. My oldest is in her second year of college and my youngest is graduating Abington High in June and entering college this fall.

While my children attended elementary school, I was very active in their school community and eventually became PTO president. Early on, my interest in public education led me to regularly attend school board meetings and agree to serve on numerous school district committees. When a seat on the Board of School Directors opened up in the fall of 2006, I was appointed by the bi-partisan majority vote of school directors. Soon thereafter, I ran for and was elected to my first full term of office. I am currently serving my 5th year as a school director.

My interest in and support of public education for all children continues to grow as the challenges and attacks on public education in our state and country intensify. I look forward to the opportunity of serving the residents and children of Abington and Rockledge for another four years.
