MESSAGE It is crucially important, and we must act now, to support/re-structure Public Education so that every child has an opportunity in life.

Cut Waste and Bureaucracy

  • Dismantle remaining local district offices
  • Dollars directly to the classroom
  • Terminate high paid consultants and attorneys

Power to School Site Councils
  • Budget sovereignty to active stakeholders within the school site council
  • Power over curriculum and instruction to teachers who are the true and real CEO's in each classroom
  • Support must go directly to teachers, para-professionals, students, parents, and community members

Fully Fund Public Education
  • California must move to first (1st) of fifty (50) states in per pupil education spending
  • Teachers must be able to "afford to teach" in order to retain experience and attract quality to the profession

Social Justice for Under Performing Schools
  • Adequate resources and full support must be allocated
  • Schools in communities of color must be a priority, not ignored
  • Drastically cut class size at all grades
  • Smaller learning communities
  • Safe and Clean Schools
