Our Accomplishments and Bellflower's Need for Leadership

By Randy Bomgaars

Candidate for Council Member; City of Bellflower

This information is provided by the candidate
Working with a unified City Council, Randy Bomgaars has contributed extensively to Bellflower's growth. Current economic challenges require Randy Bomgaars' experience and leadership.
Working with a unified City Council, Randy Bomgaars helped to achieve many important improvements in our city such as:

  • Our 2.4 Mile Class 1 Bellflower Bike and Pedestrian Trail
  • The remodeling of the Pacific Electric Train Depot
  • Planning for the Fire Museum and Event Center
  • A 30% increase in Internet, print and TV news of Bellflower events
  • Redevelopment and revitalization of downtown Bellflower
  • The Walnut Street Live/Work Project
  • Improvements and repairs to our water system and wells serving the community
  • Maintaining and upgrading Bellflower's website, including the new "Bellflower Video Tour Book" to attract new business and residents.
  • Construction on the new Belmont Court project that will be located on the corner of Bellflower Blvd. and Belmont Street is slated to begin this summer and will take approximately one year to complete. It will be an exciting addition to our downtown corridor and will feature a three-story tall, mixed-use building that will house 30 attractive condominiums on the top floors and 6,000 sq. ft. of commercial space on the bottom floor, along with a public plaza.

In these challenging economic times, we need a proven leader who lives, works and knows our City of Bellflower -- someone with experience and vision who can steer this community along a potentially rocky road into a bright and fine future.

There may be rocks in the road ahead of us, but they can be stumbling blocks or stepping stones -- it all depends on how we use them.

Randy Bomgaars promises, "We're going to re-develop and revitalize the city one business at a time, one building at a time, one block at a time. We will persevere, we will grow stronger, and we will do this by growing together."

Bellflower's Future will depend on Careful, Creative Management guided by Strength, Integrity and Experience.

On March 8th, do your part to help ensure that Bellflower will move ahead with the careful, creative management it needs at this time. Re-elect a proven leader -- Randy Bomgaars.
