State Representative; District 166

John Williamson has called 166th district home since his childhood. He grew up in Havertown Pennsylvania, attended Sacred Heart School in Manoa and later graduated from St. Pius X School in Broomall, before successfully completing his four years at Cardinal O'Hara High School. He received a bachelor's degree in economics, in only three years, from West Chester University in 1974, and earned his law degree from Seattle University. After graduating, he began his legal career in Broomall. He is currently a Partner in the law firm of Williamson, McVeigh and Alfano. John met his lovely wife-to-be, Donna Marie and married in 1981. The couple raised three wonderful children: Elizabeth, Dan, and Johnny.

John's commitment to his family and his community, has led him to seek the office of state representative, and so he sought and received the endorsement from the Republican Committees of Haverford, Marple, and Radnor. His platform of fiscal discipline, and budget balancing has resonated with the local voters. John's objectives are to: reduce taxes, including the corporate net income tax - to stimulate Pennsylvania's economy; resist unessential expenditures; and help make Pennsylvania a competitive market place. John also supports efforts to conserve and protect our air and water resources.

John has always maintained strong connections to his community and has been involved in many good activities. He serves as the Chairman of St. Pius X Respect Life Committee and was the 2003 recipient of the St. Thomas More Award - an honor given to only one attorney each year from among all practicing attorneys in Bucks, Delaware, Montgomery, Chester, and Philadelphia Counties. He was also named to the Cardinal O'Hara Hall of Fame.

John's devotion to the outdoors stems from the fact that he is a life long adventurer and outdoorsman. He has visited all 50 states, and has climbed mountains, and completed dozens of marathons. He also regularly competes in triathlons, including the Iron Man in Hawaii.
