I am pleased to announce that I am seeking re-election to continue representing residents of the 34th District in the Pennsylvania State Senate," Senator Corman said. "I look forward to talking to voters about my experience in the Pennsylvania Senate and how best we can move our community and our commonwealth in the right direction."

Senator Corman will continue to work on important issues facing the district and the commonwealth by advocating for economic solutions that grow our economy and help create jobs.

"The decisions our leaders in Harrisburg make will directly impact how Pennsylvania recovers from the national economic downturn," Senator Corman said. "I have fought for a responsible budget that doesn't raise taxes on working families. Job creation and finding affordable solutions to rising costs of health care and its impact on families and employers will be my top priorities."

Senator Corman will continue to work on issues close to home as well, including protecting funding for education, public safety, and economic development in Centre, Mifflin, Juniata, Perry and Union Counties.

"My most important job as a State Senator is to be an advocate for the taxpayers of our district," Senator Corman said.

Senator Corman believes that Pennsylvania finds itself at an important crossroad, and as one of the leaders of the Senate, he is excited to be in a position to help plot the course of the Commonwealth in the next few years.

"Great challenges create great opportunities to chart a new course for Pennsylvania. This year we will elect a new Governor, and in cooperation with the General Assembly, they will set the course for the Commonwealth. I want to be a part of that team so that we can grow our economy, improve access to health care, and give the people of this Commonwealth a government they deserve."

Senator Jake Corman was elected to the Pennsylvania State Senate in 1998 and is serving his third consecutive term. Senator Corman serves as the Chairman of the Senate Appropriations Committee, and is the third ranking Senator in his caucus.

Senator Corman and his wife Kelli have three children; Isabella, Davis and Jacob and reside in Benner Township, Centre County.
