I believe that Pennsylvania's state government has grown out of control for too long. In just eight years, state spending has increased 37% and state debt has exploded to the point that every working family in the state now owes nearly $40,000. In these economic times, this is simply unacceptable and unsustainable.

My philosophy is one of fiscal discipline that protects taxpayers throughout the state, and provides help to all residents fairly.

I will bring real-world business experience to Harrisburg to cut spending and waste, and create budgets based on sound financial projections, not numbers simply made up to be able to say that a budget is "balanced."

I will oppose taking on new debt because of the burden it places on future generations and the stifling effect it has on economic expansion.

And I will work to make sure that every area of our state receives its fair share. For example, over the past eight years, Philadelphia school aid has sky-rocketed while Monroe and Pike Counties have seen little to no increase in aid...resulting in massive property tax increases at home.
