Candidate for
Member; State Board of Education; District 4

This information is provided by the candidate

I am the mother of three children. All of my children attended public schools. I graduated from a public school. I have a BS from Ohio University. My Master's is from Wright State University. I have taught over 30 years in public schools.

I serve on a local school board and a JVS board. Having served over 13 years, gives me much board experience. I am presently president of the Vocational Board. I co-founded a non profit educational foundation and now serve as chair. I serve on an area library board, Project Excellence Board, and the Area Progrss Council board.

As a consultant, I work to help area schools improve. We use the Ohio Improvemnet Process to do this. I serve as a liason with our Business Advisory Council. I also work with Wilmington College as supervisor. I supervise student teachers.

I have busniness experience. My husband and I ran our own business for many years. I feel my experience speaks for itself. I feel I would be an asset serving on the State Board.
