Smart Voter Political Philosophy for Brandon Millan

Candidate for
Council Member; City of Thousand Oaks

This information is provided by the candidate

Thousand Oaks is a special city, offering a quality of life that few places in the country can match. But in tough economic times, protecting this extraordinary quality of life takes electing leaders who put proven ideas ahead of self-interested politics.

I was raised in Thousand Oaks. I went to school here. I run my business here. I volunteer in local non-profits here. I know what we are capable of, and I know right now the families of Thousand Oaks are responding to this economic crisis more effectively and efficiently than our city government.

That's why we need to elect leaders responsive to us.

Across America the best local governments are embracing new ideas, cost-saving technologies and refocusing on core priorities. And we must do the same to accomplish our goals:

  • Easy access to government services with a THOUSAND OAKS "311" number.

  • INTEGRATED TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT PLAN.

  • Financing for CLEAN ENERGY UPGRADES to Thousand Oaks homes and businesses.

To do this we'll need leaders who will stop arguing and start listening.
