Candidate for
Board Member; Pleasant Valley Elementary School District

Debra grew up on her family's farm in Camarillo. She attended Pleasant Valley schools and graduated from Adolfo Camarillo High School and U.C. Santa Barbara. Debra returned to Camarillo and worked for large and small corporations before spending over a decade at Amgen. At Amgen, Debra received awards and accolades for creating innovative processes that elevated the standards of efficiency and quality.

Debra and her husband, Chris, feel fortunate to raise their three children in Camarillo. Chris is an educator in Simi Valley. Debra is the only candidate with children in the district. Debra's local education activities include:

• Chairperson of the Tierra Linda School Site Council 2008-09, 2009-10
• Member of United Methodist Child Development Center Board of Directors 2007-10
• PTA volunteer, Honorary Service Award Committee Chair, Camarillo Council
• Classroom volunteer
