Questions & Answers

1. In this time of high unemployment, what are the most important steps that should be taken to improve our nation’s economy?

In order to stimulate economic growth, I will pledge to increase the flow of Sound Credit to Small Businesses. In particular I will work to:

2. How should federal budget priorities be changed, now and into the future? How will you balance the costs of military action overseas and national security with the costs of domestic needs?

We must take care of our own citizens first domestically. If we have available resources to help foreign countries, then we should extend our assistance to them. We must take care of our heros who risked their lives for our freedom and protection. We must scale back on military action overseas and we must create a plan to bring back our troops home. We must provide services to our soliders and Veterans when they return home.

3. What, if anything, should be done by the federal government to address our dependence on fossil fuels or spur the use of clean energy?

We must tap into alternative resources and examine the possibilities in which this country can explore natural resources. Our dependency on fossil fuels as individual consumers should be minimal. As a nation, we should gradually eliminate the dependency in order to protect our enviroment.

4. What, if any, changes should be made to current federal policies or programs that promote or provide health coverage for Americans?

In California, we have programs such as Healthy Families. We could extend those programs to also include adults without any children to participate in this medical coverage program. I don't believe in giving health insurance coverage for free. I believe if we allow, young adults and adults younger than 65 to participate in such programs we would avoid all of the high charge of Emergency- uninsured cases we face.

5. What, if any, changes should be made to federal rules on campaign financing or disclosure of political expenditures?

Political Expenditures must be capped in order to allow a level playing field for all candidates. Campaign contributions should be limited to only include individual contributions.
