"A Government That Governs Least, Governs Best"

The government does not produce anything and never invented a Blackberry, iPhone, or personal computer. Things like that are better left to an unencumbered private sector.

While we must be personally compassionate and take care of the poorest until they can get back to being self-sustaining, we must be careful not to create a system where there is no incentive for a person to become independent. It is better to support private charities that are far more efficient in distributing assistance than the government.

Government in California is too big and needs to shrink.
