Candidate for
Board Member; Cabrillo Unified School District

I am the father of two daughters who attend Hatch Elementary School.My wife is an educator. I have worked for Dun & Bradstreet for 20years and have extensive experience in risk management and strategic planning. I hold an M.B.A. from Pepperdine University and a B.S.from Santa Clara University. I have been on the PTO board (formerly co-President) at Hatch for the last 3 years and have devoted my timeto many volunteer efforts in our community and schools including support of Measure E (site leader for community outreach).

My interest in being part of the school board stems from a commitment to ensuring the children in our community receive a superior education with focus on strong academics, physical education and the arts.This benefits our children but also enhances and strengthens our community. This needs to be achieved through thoughtful planning,fiscal responsibility, and intelligent investment in our schools.

I will spend time at our school sites, listening and learning fromteachers, students, parents and administration. I support a cooperative,open dialogue so that all voices are considered in the planning and execution of the educational future of the Coastside.
