General Telephone & Electronics Int'l (GT &E I) 1957 + 1965 Various positions in the Caribbean, Venezuela, Ecuador culminating in Port-of Spain, Trinidad as Project Operations Manager. Overall project operations responsibility for updating and expanding a modern, nationwide telecom network for Trinidad & Tobago Telephone Co. The project involved construction of new exchange buildings, outside cable plant, long-haul microwave/multiplex voice & data links together with connections to international common carriers. Used both outside sub-contractors and in-house personnel. Financed by Ex-Im Bank. 1964 + 1965.

Philco-Ford Corp - C & E Division , Saigon, So. Vietnam - Field Project Manager (DOD Top Secret Clearance) 1965-1966, simultaneously supervised and directed 3 groups of contract installers and tech reps for 3 communications projects at various classified sites all over South Vietnam & Laos.

American Trading Co. (AMTRACO), Saigon, So. Vietnam + Industrial Dept. Manager -1966-1972. Headed department including local and expatriate salesmen and technicians representing such accounts GE Power & Electronic products, GT&EI, Peerless Pumps, & York Boilers

Kohler Int'l Co., Kohler WI 1973 + 1976, Director- Far East, Based in Singapore. Coordinated and supported a network of distributors, trading companies and agents throughout the Far East The full range of Kohler products were covered including, Plumbing Fixtures and Fittings, Small Cast Iron Commercial Grade Gasoline Engines, & Electric Gensets.

Getz Brothers, San Francisco, CA , 1977 -1982 An Import-Export Firm with branch offices worldwide. I was the Industrial Products Manager supporting our branches & handling accounts such as FMC Food and packaging machinery, Timken Bearings & York Boilers

Kyocera Co., Sunnyvale, CA , 1983 + 1985 A Japanese manufacturer of microwave components including, at the time, low-noise gallium arsenide amplifiers used in pioneering consumer satellite earth stations a la Dish Network, before such stations became quite legal. I was the Sales Manager for these consumer applications until the division was sold to Eaton Corp who was interested only in the DOD part of the business & closed the department.

Aydin Microwave Inc,, San Jose, CA 1985 -1987 A manufacturer of High Power klystrons used in satellite earth stations and digital microwave communications systems for military applications. I worked as a Sales Application Engineer on various classified Earth station and digital encryption systems.

DCM Industries, Inc. + Hayward, CA 1987 + 2009. This is a niche manufacturer of copper telecoms cable measuring systems for cable manufacturers, operating telephone companies & defense contractors. These range from small portable cable fault locators to large PC controlled systems able to test all relevant parameters of telephone cable up to 5200 pairs and costing upwards of $250 k.Until my retirement at age 79 in 2009 I was the Sales Manager for non-Defense customers working through a network of local sales reps worldwide and involving extensive travel, principally to China, Japan, Korea, Latin America and Europe.
