This information is provided by the candidate

Education: Ph.D. and Master of Science, Texas A&M University, High Honors Bachelor of Science, Cal Poly, SLO, cum laude

I am a fourth generation Californian, and graduated from Hemet High School, with Honors, in the Inland Empire region. I attended and graduated from Cal Poly (1981), and then advanced to Texas A&M, to study and complete my Master's of Science (1982), and Ph.D. in 1985. After teaching at Texas A&M during my graduate years, and on staff as an Associate Professor for a year after finishing my Ph.D., I accepted a position in private industry.

I have lived in Templeton since 1990, and immediately became interested in learning about and serving the community and the School District. I was first elected to the Board in 1992, and have served the Schools and community ever since. I am a consummate student myself, and use every opportunity to learn something new to help in my efforts to provide the very best for Templeton's students.

My professional experiences include financial consulting for very complicated businesses, and as such, I have a comprehensive and deep understanding of complex financial budgets, including schools. I am very experienced at achieving considerable success with very small budgets.

My many years helping Templeton achieve an award winning comprehensive educational program is invaluable going forward.
