Natasha's career in education has provided her with unique perspective and deep expertise on the issues facing San Francisco's schools. She understands the role of the school board in supporting students, families, teachers, and administrators and ensuring equity and excellence in our schools. As a board member, she will serve with leadership, expertise, passion, and commitment to the following goals:

Support Great Teaching and Leadership

  • Provide every student with world class, engaging educational experiences, from Pre-School through 12th grade.
  • Recruit and support a great teacher in every classroom and a great leader for every school, and support them to learn from each other.
  • Ensure college and career preparation for every student.

Empower and Engage Families and Community
  • Partner with families and community to build true community schools.
  • Invest in better ways to share information and communicate with students, teachers, and families.

Build Partnerships and Improve Fiscal Stewardship
  • Ensure budget transparency and fiscal accountability and efficiency.
  • Partner with community organizations and businesses to provide students with out of the classroom, experiential learning opportunities and mentorships in the arts, music, foreign language, sciences, sports, health and wellness.
