Candidate for
Board Member; San Francisco Community College District

I have won citywide election to the Community College Board three times, and was elected President of the Board of Trustees by my peers twice.

I have been an educator and administrator all of my life. I taught Special Education for 20 years, most recently at Denman. I have served the San Francisco Unified School District as a Program Manager, Program Administrator, Americans with Disabilities Act Director, and have supervised Facilities, Development and Management.

As a part of my continuing education, I received my ELL English Language Learner Credential in August '09. I am excited about the class that I am teaching in Berkeley, the ELL (English Language Learner Class, teaching teachers how to teach ELL students who have many different languages.
