Candidate for
Board Member; Encinitas Union Elementary School District

I am 57 years old, married and have had 4 children. All 4 of my children went through Encinitas schools, and are currently in college and high school. I served the Encinitas Union School District from 1979 until I retired this past June. I have worked at 6 of the 9 schools as a teacher and a school principal. During my tenure as Principal, the schools I worked at received a Title One High Achieving Award, a California Distinguished School Award, and at Mission Estancia School, we were recognized a a National blue Ribbon School. This past year I was honored to be chosen Encinitas Union School District's Administrator of the Year. I am passionate about education, and the families and children that make up the Encinitas Schools. I have experience in the marketplace as well. For several years I worked as a Territory sales Manager for a start-up company in San Diego, and currently own and operate a small business. My wife and I own the Stratford Court Cafe in Del Mar.
