Candidate Statement

I love Ramona; it's natural beauty, rural character, and spirit of freedom.

I have been a Member of the Black Mountain Open Space Citizens Advisory Committee for 6 years. I have experience in balancing the needs of multiple user groups while protecting natural resources. I have organized trash clean-ups, trail maintenance, and public outreach projects.

Ramona is not just a "bedroom community". We need local jobs and economic opportunities.

As a former small business owner, I understand that local businesses, ranches, and agriculture must thrive if we are to have local employment.

We need to keep local dollars in Ramona and tempt San Diegans to spend their money in our town. We should do this in ways that protect our unique natural treasures and preserve the rural nature of our community.

The best part of my "day job" as a Senior Sales Engineer for a Commercial/Industrial HVAC Equipment firm, is finding balanced, creative solutions to unique problems. I will bring that same enthusiasm to my service as a member of the Board.

I believe in limited government, personal responsibility and constitutional principles.
