I bring a unique perspective to the Fallbrook Community Planning Group - my father was a Fallbrook avocado grower who developed a 20-acre grove from scratch, beginning in 1956. That property still contains some of the most beautiful and most productive trees in town. I have watched Fallbrook grow from a town of 7,000 residents with no street lights, to the town we know today with 43,000 residents, multiple street lights and regular gridlock at certain hours of the day. As someone who has lived on a grove in the outskirts of town, but who has also lived in the town center, taught in our schools, and worked closely with many of our community organizations, I am familiar with local issues and I care deeply about our agricultural heritage and our future as a multi-faceted and thriving small town. Having served for the past six years on four of the six Fallbrook Community Planning Group Committees, and now as the Chair of the Circulation Committee, I have had extensive experience with the issues, projects, and problems that come before the Planning Group. If re-elected, I will continue to protect your interests, promote your concerns,and represent as best I can the values that make Fallbrook such a unique community. |
