We need to create a system where our teachers run our schools.
The status quo is not working. The relationship between teachers and administration is unhealthy and antagonistice. Teachers do not get he respect they deserve and need to excell as educators. We need to give our teacher the freedom and authority to create academic environments that focus on the needs of their students. We want our children to be turned on to learning and it is a teacher who is going to do that. Our best teachers know how to address the problems in our schools, but they are not allowed to be creative and effective. We need to put our trust behind the teachers and show them that we value their contribution to our children's future. we, as a community and tax payers can change our educational system in order to improve the quality of education and keep students in school longer. The relationship between teachers and sudents is sacred. We need to support that relationship and encourage teachers to be the best they can be.
