Questions & Answers

1. What experience related to city government would you bring to the city council?

19 total years, seven of the Planning Commission, eight as a City Council member and four as mayor.

2. What concerns are of particular importance to the city and how would you address them?

Surviving the reecession, addressed by adhering strictly to our sustainable budget strategy. Implementing downtown specific plan, productively incorporating two new, inexperienced Council members onto the Council and working to achieve more efficiencies through regional cooperation are othe areas I am well qualified to manage.

3. How would you balance the needs of the city as a whole with groups' interests?

City's needs always come fiist, but frequently working inclusively with all interested parties can lead to mutually agreeable results that benefit all.
