We must continue to provide a high level of public services to the citizens.The city council and employees of the city are here to serve the citizens of Milpitas. It is our obligation to provide police protection, fire services, well-maintained streets, water, sewer, parks, etc. These are the basic services that are the life-blood of a city. These must remain a high priority for the council. We must continue to work collaboratively with the Milpitas Unified School District to ensure all of our residents receive a quality education. As the city develops the Mid-town area (Main/Abel Streets, Great Mall area), we must work with the school district to ensure a school is built to meet the needs of the residents. A school site has been designated with shared use that would benefit the students attending classes during the day and the residents year round. |
