Linda J. LeZotte, LEED AP

Ten Almaden Blvd, Ste. 1250 San Jose, CA 95113 408-823-8200 linda@lezottelaw.com

I am a practicing attorney and specialize in the areas of environmental, land use and corporate development. My representation includes assisting individuals, developers and Charter Schools through the environmental and land use processes. I advise clients on environmental issues including Green Building policies and ordinances and compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act and local environmental policies and procedures.

I was recently of Counsel with Berliner Cohen in San Jose. For eight years, I served as a distinguished member of the San Jose City Council leading the green building policy discussion, and six years as a San Jose Planning Commissioner. Prior to public service, I practiced for two decades in the areas of corporate, partnership and estate planning law.

I chaired the Joint Venture Silicon Valley Sustainable Buildings Initiative, and serves on the Bay Area Climate Collaborative-Green Building Group, the Cities Association Green Building Collaborative and the Advisory Board of Sustainable Silicon Valley. I am a frequent speaker on various topics relating to green development and the promotion of sustainable/green design.

I am accredited by the U. S. Green Building Council as a LEED AP (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional) in New Construction. I am one of a select group of Silicon Valley and California attorneys who have earned this valuable designation. The LEED certification is the recognized standard for measuring building sustainability and for demonstrating that building projects are truly `green.'
