Art Barron moved to Gilroy over 18 years ago to raise his family. Married to wife Jackie for over 25 years. Art has four children and two grandchildren. Art currently works for a nonprofit MACSA as a Program Manager for a Type II Diabetes prevention program.

Art Barron has been on several boards, committees and commissions:

City of Gilroy Planning Commissioner (Vice Chair 2009). Leadership Gilroy Board Member. South County Housing Board Member. Measure P Committee.
