This information is provided by the candidate

Lacey Kendall is a product of Rialto, California in the purest sense. As a schoolgirl, Lacey attended WJC Trapp Elementary, Ben Kolb Junior High and Eisenhower High School, graduating in 1979. She went on to pursue her Associate of Arts degree in Telecommunications from San Bernardino Valley College, BA degree in Radio Broadcasting from the University of LaVerne, a certificate in audio engineering from Golden West College and her masters' degree in Communication from Cal State San Bernardino, finishing classes magna cum laude.

Lacey is known by many for her 30 year broadcasting career as an announcer, reporter and local talk show host. Lacey's programs have been heard on KGGI 99.1 FM, KKBZ in Ventura County, K-LIFE Christian Radio, KEZY, Anaheim, and KCAL FM.
In 1994 Lacey accepted a teaching position at the University of La Verne and later at San Bernardino Valley College. There she taught digital audio production, advertising, journalism and media history classes until the late 1990's, when cancer and pneumonia claimed the lives of her parents and coincidentally three of her closest friends. Overwhelmed with grief, she left her teaching and broadcasting positions, spent the next year and a half soul-searching and even found herself homeless for a short time before recovering from her losses.
Lacey returned to work in 2001 at KCAA Loma Linda. Teaming with famed radio news veteran, Daren Lane, Lacey helped to manage a staff that grew from two to 23 people as the initial Air America radio network station and California's NBC Radio News flagship. Simultaneously, Lacey also served as a reporter for NBC Radio news, The Westwood One Radio Network and a number of northern California stations during the various fires, floods and trials that have taken place in the Inland Empire. Lacey left KCAA in 2007 to consult for Cal State San Bernardino's Academic Computing and Media Department.

Lacey is the founder of "Teen Carpenters," a Christian teen service group in Colton, California where she also serves as an advisor to the pastoral staff of Colton Christian Church and has taught Sunday school. Lacey has served as board member and chair for the El Rancho Verde Municipal Advisory Committee under 5th district San Bernardino County Supervisor, Josie Gonzales since 2005. She also serves as a board member for the San Bernardino County Flood Control District.

As a broadcast/media consultant for California State University San Bernardino, Lacey Kendall lead the campus station, Coyote Radio to the number one position as best internet college station in America, as recognized by MTV. That facility is now respected within the broadcast industry as one of the finest broadcast learning laboratories in the western United States. She serves as a consultant to various radio stations and the Catalina Island Conservancy for the conservancy's Isla Earth Radio Series; heard by over 5 million weekly listeners! Finally, Lacey continues to host her own weekly program on KCAL FM.
Lacey still lives in Rialto and is currently writing a manual for university broadcast professors due for completion in February 2011. The manual is a pedagogical analysis of college broadcast education.
