Candidate Statement

Affordable, reliable and clean water is vital to the Inland Empire's economic future. I am a businesswoman with 11 years of experience in working on public utility issues. My priorities are:

Greater Public Accountability--Keep our water rates low by reducing administrative costs and eliminating excessive spending on travel, salaries and perks.

More Water For Our Communities--Promote recycling and water reuse technologies to stretch existing water supplies. Protect local water rights to ensure that the Inland Empire receives our fair share of state water.

New Clean Energy Jobs--Support innovative water and energy conservation programs to attract the next generation of clean energy businesses to our Inland Empire communities.

As Chairwoman of the Fontana Parks and Recreation Commission, I have a strong track record of working collaboratively with Councilmembers, business leaders and community leaders to achieve results--such as opening the new Fontana Senior Center and raising millions of dollars for our local library.

I have also helped hundreds of residents and businesses to receive energy-saving rebates while serving as a local Conservation Ambassador.

This record has earned the endorsement of Mayor Frank Scaldione, former Mayor Mark Nuaimi, Mayor Pro Tem Acquanetta Warren and Councilmembers John Roberts and Janice Rutherford.

The economic stakes are high. We must have stronger leadership on the Inland Empire Utilities Agency Board to secure the future water and power supplies our communities need to thrive.

I ask for your vote to build a better future for Bloomington, Fontana and Rialto. http://www.JazHall.com
